Rajan Sonik (he/his/him), PhD JD MPH, is an Associate Research Professor at Brandeis University. A former Equal Justice Works Fellow, Rajan has focused his advocacy on children with sickle cell disease, who face stigmatization and discrimination in schools, hospitals, and a range of other settings. As a health services researcher, his NIH-funded studies leverage large datasets and natural experiments to examine how social welfare policies and interventions affect high-cost healthcare outcomes and disparities.
